How I kept the Spiders Away

Hey everyone! Today I thought I'd share with you all how I've kept the spiders away this autumn and winter. So here you are, you'll improve your general knowledge with this post kids:p

I'm scared of spiders. I don't mind looking at one behind a cage or in a cup, but as soon as I see a spider around the house, I leave and demand someone to remove it. Oh and I definitely don't scream, just thought I'd point that out;).

There are many spider stories which include: Me not noticing one being on a tissue IN THE TISSUE BOX and crawling on my hand, me waking up and the first thing I saw was a gigantic spider making a web down my ceiling and being about 2cm from my nose (not a fun experience) and me opening the sun visor in the car and a spider falling out of it and landing on my freaking lap (one of the scariest moments of my entire life).

So because of all these horrific and soul scarring stories (sympathy please), it's not surprising that this autumn /winter I decided that my bedroom was a "no spider" zone. And a "no spider" zone it miraculously was, all thanks to my new best friends: Conkers?!

I've placed a few conkers all around my bedroom, particularly on the corner of my bed, on my bookshelf and dressing table as you can see by the pictures. At first I thought that conkers stopping spiders was an old wives tale and wouldn't work. But I'm completely amazed that I haven't had any unwanted spider visiters crawling around at all these past few months which I'm super duper happy about! I don't know if this is just a coincidence or if it's something else that's keeping the spider's away but it's definitely worked this time so I'll repeat next autumn and winter and get back to you to see if it's worked again!

So if you're scared of spiders then I would definitely recommend the conkers! That's if you don't mind having random conkers all over your house that is:))
